My name is Rutendo Chimbaru. I am from Harare, Zimbabwe. My research interests are in health communication, particularly the representation of mental health in various media, the impact of culture on health decision and the effect of health messages on health behaviors. Before I came to the University of Miami, I earned my Master’s degree in Health Communication. After I graduate, I hope to work on health campaign messaging and continue to contribute the scholarly conversation in the field of health communication. Some of my favorite things to do are playing volleyball, watching soccer and track & field and reading.
