Ph.D. Student
Giuliano McDonald is a first-year doctoral student at the University of Miami’s School of Communication. His research focuses on the intersection of organizational and instructional communication, emphasizing organizational culture, training, development, and administration. Giuliano earned his bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies from Chapman University and a master’s degree in Communication from San Diego State University.
While at San Diego State University, Giuliano taught multiple sections of the required oral communication course, which teaches undergraduates how to write, organize, and present an effective speech. Before joining UM, Giuliano worked as a Data Analyst for a public speaking, sales training and consulting firm. Outside of his academic pursuits, Giuliano enjoys traveling and staying physically active. Upon graduation, Giuliano hopes to pursue a postdoctoral position where he can continue to research and design communication processes and systems for the betterment of organizations, their members, and their constituents.
