Project Description

As passions surge and secrets unravel, a lethal triangle emerges between a wheelchair-dependent Ex-Surfer and a Dominican migrant couple in search of a new life. What begins as a quest for refuge swiftly morphs into a dangerous dance of desire, cloaked in layers of deceit and greed against a backdrop of unrivaled beauty.

Directed by a UM father-son duo, AGUADILLA is a tropical neo-noir starring Lou Diamond Phillips (La Bamba, Longmire, Courage Under Fire), Alina Robert (Plantados) and Rene Moran (NCIS). This timely feature was written by Tom Musca (Stand and Deliver, Tortilla Soup, Chateau Vato) who co-directed with Alexander Zeke Musca (award-winning music videos & commercials).

The crew included a mix of UM students and international professionals. The production survived a scorching July ’23 compounded by the WGA and SAG strikes. The film was shot entirely on location in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico.
