Associate Professor
Dr. Driscoll joined the University in 1988 and holds a Master of Arts in Telecommunications and a Ph.D. in Mass Communication from Indiana University. His research interests are in media regulation, new technology, and media effects. His research has appeared in numerous books and academic journals. He is a co-author of Online News and the Public (2005), and Head’s Broadcasting in America: A Survey of Electronic Media(2008).
In 2008 Dr. Driscoll was appointed Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, and oversees all matters related to the School’s undergraduate curriculum development and implementation, academic advising, and related efforts. Dr. Driscoll is also faculty advisor and serves on the Board of Directors of WVUM-FM, the University’s student-operated radio station. He is also active in various local and national professional organizations.
