Ph.D. Student
Jennifer Peña joined the doctoral program in the School of Communication in 2022. She earned her master’s degree in English (on the Writing & Rhetoric track) from Florida International University, where she also worked as an adjunct instructor in the English department before coming to the University of Miami.
Jennifer’s research interests include media studies, applications of digital technologies in classrooms and writing centers, ways of facilitating dialectal interactions and intercultural communication in college classrooms, and means of skill transfer within online communities. She is especially interested in collaborative and interdisciplinary research.
In her spare time, Jennifer enjoys reading, crocheting, and gaming with friends.
