Haitians are risking their lives in the largest maritime migration in nearly two decades. The consequences are tragic. Join Bahamian writer-director Kareem J. Mortimer as he presents his 2017 drama Cargo, about Haitian migrants being smuggled into the U.S. When a desperate fisherman (played by Warren Brown) turns to human smuggling, he is faced with having to abandon refugees at sea who are a long way from their destination.
