Precious Johnson is a doctoral student at the University of Miami studying communication. She holds an M.A. in Professional Communication and Digital Media from Texas Southern University, where she worked as a graduate teaching assistant and research assistant at the Center for Africana Futures as well as a graduate assistant in the School of Communication Dean’s Office.

She earned a B.S. in Sociology at Florida State Agricultural and Mechanical University. With a strong interest in community engagement, she has served as a Student Fellow and Program Assistant with the Communication Ph.D. Pipeline Program. She was involved with the HBCU CSUSM as an Exchange Student Scholar.
