Dayna graduated from The U in 2010 with a double major in advertising and graphic design. She is currently the Principal Product Designer for the NBA, shaping the future of how fans experience the game of basketball across mobile, tablet, web and connected devices. If you’ve used the Sports Emmy-nominated NBA App on any device, you’ve seen her work! As a digital designer and avid basketball player/fan, she is grateful for the opportunity to further the NBA mission of inspiring and connecting people everywhere through the power of basketball.
Dayna began her career as a Jr. Art Director in the fast-paced advertising agency world working on brands like Oreo, Harley-Davidson, Aruba Tourism and Bowlmor AMF. After 8+ years of integrated campaign work and working her way up to Creative Director, she pivoted to the digital space. Her expertise now focuses on setting a strategic design vision, system and practice that creates best-in-class human-centered digital experiences.
She is super passionate about representing womxn and the LGBTQIA+ community in sports and furthering their equity on and off the court. Her commitment to leadership is evidenced by her involvement in mentoring young talent, engagement in women’s coaching circles, and promoting diversity and inclusion in the workplace and beyond. She also is a recurring guest speaker in University of Miami advertising classes each semester.
When Dayna is not working, you can find her on the pickleball court or basketball court playing with the amazing Hoop York City collective.
Her greatest role yet: proud new mama to baby Lily born in July 2024!
