Dr. Queenie Li is an Associate Professor in the Department of Strategic Communication, specializing in strategic communication for social change and health promotion. She earned her Ph.D. in Mass Communication from the University of South Carolina. Her research explores how organizations and governments can use communication to address societal challenges, promote health, and inspire meaningful social impact.
Dr. Li’s expertise lies in strategic public relations, health communication, corporate social responsibility (CSR), corporate social advocacy (CSA), and internal communication. As an interdisciplinary scholar, she integrates insights from public relations research, organizational communication, psychology, and cultural studies to develop innovative communication strategies for fostering social progress.
Her work has been published in prestigious journals, including Communication Research, Public Relations Review, Journal of Public Relations Research, and Health Communication. Dr. Li has also won numerous top paper and research awards at international and national venues such as the International Public Relations Research Conference (IPRRC) and the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication (AEJMC). She is also a recipient of multiple Arthur W. Page Legacy Scholar grants.
