  • Max Marketing Design Intern: NY – Summer 2024
Your Role Accountabilities 

As a Design Intern for the Performance & Engagement Design team at Max, you will help drive the operational success for the visual execution of Warner Bros Discovery streaming service Max, as well as the production and execution of marketing campaigns promoting it. The Intern will support on and off channel design execution, including in-app merchandising design, email, web, and paid media design. This position works hands-on and collaboratively with Art Directors, Project Managers, and Copywriters to execute creative & design concepts for Max. Duties could include: 

  • Support Designers and Art Directors with end-to-end delivery of creative projects with an emphasis on visual design including typography, layout, and photoshop composition

  • Actively contributing to the development and execution of creative concepts (both independently and with the team)

  • Ability to craft a story through design, determine solutions/alternatives when necessary and clearly articulate decisions with Art Directors and Creative Directors

  • Strong understanding of digital platforms and communications, as well as their contribution within growth marketing that will ultimately impact the big picture

  • Responsible for ensuring artwork is ready for review by Art Directors and Creative Directors- Integrate versatile design skills, including layout, typography, design patterns, and photo compositing into all marketing campaigns

  • Support and align with growth marketing products and initiatives to ensure continuity across all platforms
 Qualifications & Experience 
  • Visually stunning, cutting-edge portfolio not only showcasing a strong eye, but also strong storytelling and problem-solving abilities

  • Passion for creating beautiful, pixel perfect visual designs that convey comprehensive skill of color palettes to bring campaigns and creative to life

  • Highly skilled in visual design in the digital space

  • Experience with Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and content management systems. Motion design a plus

  • Digital design and project management experience
• Must be actively enrolled in an accredited college or university degree program for the full duration of the internship (proof of enrollment required)  

• Must be a rising Junior, Senior or Graduate Student (18 years or older)  

• Must be in academic good standing (3.0 or above GPA)  

• Warner Bros. Discovery will only consider candidates who are presently authorized to work for any employer in the United States and who will not require work visa sponsorship from Warner Bros. Discovery now or in the future in order to retain their authorization to work in the United States. 

What to know before applying: 

The duration of the summer program regardless of which start/end option is 11 weeks.

Program date options:

  • Option 1: June 3rd – August 16th  
  • Option 2: June 10th – August 23rd  

Interns will be expected to work 35-40 hours per week in a hybrid capacity.   Our internships are paid opportunities with a competitive hourly wage. Credit is not required; however, we will provide the necessary documentation for school credit if desired. Relocation is not provided.   Interviewing will take place from February through mid-April. A WBD team member will contact you if your experiences and interests match an open internship position. Due to the high volume of applications, we are unable to give individual status updates.

 In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The rate listed is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Rate: $19 per hour USD for undergrad interns, $25 per hour USD for graduate level interns.
