Winston Warrior is a story teller, creative catalyst, and a customer centric marketing champion.  Above all, he is a spirited entrepreneur whose background is robust and whose interests are broad.

At the University of Miami, Winston is the Executive Director of Strategic Communications and Marketing at the School of Education and Human Development, and a lecturer in the School of Communication teaching in the Journalism and Media Management Department on the undergraduate and graduate level.

This award-winning public figure has over 25+ years of experience developing brand strategies; and shaping 360° engaging and integrated marketing, acquisition (outbound and inbound marketing), demand generation, promotional, and digital marketing campaigns. He’s been successful in startups, turnarounds, high-growth, and Fortune 500 companies.

Winston is also the Principal Marketing and Business Strategy Consultant of Vintage Consulting & Entertainment, a consulting firm that assists clients with brand vision and market-specific sales approaches to accelerated revenue growth and return on investment.  He provided media strategy and consultation for the 2016 Bernie Sanders Presidential Campaign, media/entertainment personalities, real estate companies, financial institutions, and wellness centers.

His other passion…the world of entertainment.  No stranger to the music industry, Winston is also an R&B singer/songwriter.  In 2011, he released his debut studio album, Lifeology 101. Its lead single “Bad 4 U” peaked at #27 on the Billboard Adult R&B Song chart.  He’s toured in the US, Europe, and Japan.

In addition to his roles at the University of Miami and entrepreneur, Winston is also a highly sought-after social media influencer and model; serving as the brand ambassador for several products and services.  His IG profile @therealwinstonwarrior is verified with the coveted “blue check” with approximately 70k followers.

As a double alum, Winston is also very passionate about The University of Miami as he received his BBA in International Finance and Marketing, as well as his MBA in Marketing from “The U”.  He is an active volunteer and philanthropist, currently serving as long time alumni leader and current Faculty Representative of the UM Alumni Association Board of Directors.  He is also a member of Iron Arrow, the highest honor attainable at the university.  The United Black Students Office in the Donna E. Shalala Student Center is named in his honor.  As a UM student, he became a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, and served as the 1st African-American Vice President of Student Government.

His creativity, business acumen, and community involvement have also resulted in several awards, including community awards such as MADD Atlanta Community Champions Award, Atlanta Business Chronicle “Up and Comers”- Top 40 under 40, National Association for Multi-ethnicity in Comm (NAMIC) Superior Merit Award.  His marketing and entertainment industry awards include three Telly Awards (TV Commercial Category), five Cable and Telecommunications Association for Marketing (CTAM) Mark Awards, three Gold: Web Promo, Marketing Excellence & Quantum Leap Concept; two Silver: Acquisition Marketing Campaign, & Crisis Marketing Execution, SIAA Advertising Award- Gold Award for Total Advertising Campaign, POP Design of the Times Gold Award, iN DEMAND/Multichannel News Digital Case Study Award, CTAM Retail Case Study Award, and Fox Networks/Multichannel News/CTAM Retention Case Study Award.  Company awards include three Cox Vision Awards (Highest Honor at Cox) and the Motorola Diversity Leadership Award.
