
From June to August, you’ll walk in stupid at the world’s largest independent creative agency. From client briefs to creative concepts, you’ll be strategizing with teams to reinvigorate advertising with the meteor showers of your cosmic mind.
We’ll give you the tools to fail harder and dive into the wormhole we call work, and fly with the wings you’ve had all along but never knew you had, at a place that’s going to change you in a way that books can’t.
Brain time means pay time. The residency pays $22 an hour, plus overtime, a housing stipend, and monthly OMNY card.

2026 Art Director Resident
The Art Director Resident works in creative partnership with a Copywriter Resident to concept, create and produce effective creative deliverables. The Art Director Resident is responsible for the visual look of these deliverables.
2026 Design Resident
The Design Resident works in conjunction with the Creative Manager, Retoucher and Creative department to produce accurate comps and mechanicals for printed work that adheres to the high quality standards of Wieden+Kennedy.
2026 Copywriter Resident
The Copywriter Resident works in creative partnership with an Art Director Resident to concept, create and produce effective creative deliverables. The Copywriter Resident is responsible for the verbal and textual content of these deliverables.
2026 Social Strategy Resident
Major Responsibilities/Primary Functions:
Track cultural moments, platform shifts, and emerging behaviors across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, X, Reddit, Discord and beyond. Help identify trends before they become trends. Support strategists in turning social insights into creative briefs. Audit brand social channels and uncover whitespace opportunities. Contribute to campaign research, deck building, and brainstorms. Monitor conversations and community behaviors around client brands. Assist in performance recaps and help translate data into meaningful insight. Bring POVs on creators, subcultures, memes, and internet moments. Help think through how brands show up in culture—not just on feeds.
