We are seeking a dynamic, media-savvy on-air host and moderator to join a fast-paced live sports talk and prediction markets show streamed via StreamYard and broadcast to a growing YouTube audience.

This is a real opportunity — not a placeholder role. You will be on camera, driving conversation, engaging a live audience, and building a professional broadcast reel in a high-energy, opinion-driven environment.

About the Show:

Past the Wire delivers sports analysis, wagering insight, and unfiltered discussion across major professional and collegiate sports. The show features experienced analysts and handicappers, with the host steering the conversation, keeping it sharp, and making sure the audience stays locked in.

Position Overview:

We are looking for someone who:

  • Commands the screen
  • Thinks fast
  • Speaks clearly and confidently
  • Can manage strong personalities without loosing control of the show

You’re not reading questions– you’re part of the show.

Additional Details:

  • Type: Internship with pathway to paid role– terms negotiable
  • Schedule: Part-time: 2-3 days/week, approx. 2 hours/ day including prep
  • Format: Live broadcast via StreamYard, simulcast to YouTube
  • Audience: 50,000+ monthly viewers across Past The Wire YouTube channels.
  • Location: Remote-friendly (studio optional depending on location)

What You’ll Do

  • Run the show live — moderate and control discussion between experienced analysts
  • Keep conversation tight, sharp, and moving forward
  • Ask smart, timely questions that create insight — not fluff
  • Add your own voice — reactions, opinions, presence matter
  • Manage pacing, transitions, and segment flow
  • Engage live audience: comments, questions, energy
  • Prepare pre-show: topics, matchups, news, angles
  • Contribute to show ideas, segments, and guest direction

What You Need

  • Strong on-camera presence — confident, clear, engaging
  • Passion for sports (NFL, NBA, MLB, NCAA, etc.)
  • Ability to think on your feet in a live, unscripted environment
  • Professionalism and reliability — live means no excuses
  • Willingness to learn betting/prediction market concepts if needed

Bonus– Not Required

  • Prior on-camera or content experience (YouTube, podcasts, social, etc.)
  • Familiarity with StreamYard, OBS, or live production
  • Sports betting knowledge (spreads, totals, props, etc.)
  • Social media / content creation presence
