What would be the next big thing in this multiplatform entertainment landscape? How will it be created? These are part of the key questions to be discussed during the fourth annual Innovation for Media Content Creation seminar (InnovationMCC) held in partnership with University of Miami School of Communication on April 19.

The Innovation for Media Content Creation seminar is an educational initiative from the Center for Innovation and Creativity in Media (CIC Media), an organization led by global executive and international Emmy-award nominee, Marlon Quintero. The event is an exclusive opportunity for students and creative professionals to learn about the best use of innovation in the content creation process.

“We are excited to bring this fourth edition of the InnovationMCC seminar back to the University of Miami, as a platform to encourage students and creative professionals to continue perfecting their skills to successfully create content for today’s multiplatform audiences around the world,” says Marlon Quintero, managing director of CIC Media.

During this seminar, industry leaders will share best-in-class case studies of impeccable content creation process execution, including the strategy to ensure a solid business model to compete in the media entertainment industry.

“We are proud to present a robust line-up of guest speakers representing leading companies who have been responsible for the creation of content that has captured audiences worldwide,” says Quintero.

Confirmed guest speakers are: Clay Ewing, assistant professor in the Department of Cinema and Interactive Media at University of Miami School of Communication, David Baron, vice president of content partner management at Hulu; Godfrey McFall, vice president of business development at FremantleMedia Latin America; Patrice Choghi, head of non-scripted and alternative television for Televisa USA; Kevin Mills, vice president of digital strategy for Univision; Oswaldo Graziani, co-founder of Plop agency and co-creator of the political satire animated web series, Heads of Space; interactive series creators Nicolas Cuneo and Pablo Mayer from The Other Guys; and Silva Harapetian, freelance journalist for CBS4 Miami and creative content strategist at Silva Media Group. Singer-songwriter Raquel Sofia, nominated for Best New Artist at the 16th annual Latin Grammy Awards, will perform on stage and talk about her experience using emerging platforms to succeed in the competitive music industry. Additional speakers will be announced in the coming weeks.

This year’s edition marks the return of the InnovationMCC seminar to the University of Miami, where the event took place in 2014. Previously, the seminar has been successfully held in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Mexico City, and Caracas.
