The University of Miami’s School of Communication and Toppel Career Center are hosting Communication Meet-Up, a day of career connections and networking on Wednesday, March 30, 2016. Building off of the success of the 2015 Communication and Interactive Media Meet-Up, the School of Communication is introducing a new program, the Recruitment Pavilion.

Taking place at 5100 Brunson Drive from 3-6 p.m., the Recruitment Pavilion presented by the the Stein Family Office of Career Services at the School of Communication brings recruiters on campus to meet one-on-one with students to discuss job and internship opportunities, collect résumés, and schedule interviews.

Beginning at 6 p.m., recruiters and other industry professionals will gather in the School of Communication’s courtyard for the Communication Meet-Up, presented in collaboration with Toppel Career Center. The meet-up gives company representatives an opportunity to socialize and network with students, faculty, alumni, and other peers. Refreshments will be provided throughout the evening.

Invited guests include: NBCUniversal, Telemundo, Pinta, Actors’ Playhouse, Max Borges Agency, beIN Sports, Carve Communications, Unique Vacations, Moroch, Peace Corp, Mango Media, Miami New Times, Ocean Drive Mag/Niche Media, Miami Herald, rbb Communications, WDNA, GreenRoom Social, ThinkInk PR, Sapient Nitro, and VIACOM.

Parking is available on-site at University of Miami’s Red parking lot located off of Pisano Avenue. Registration is still open for both the Recruitment Pavilion and the Communication Meet-Up. The Stein Family Office of Career Services is designed to provide students and alumni with career development information and activities related to the communications industry. The office hosts recruiters from numerous companies on a regular basis, offering students the opportunity to meet one-on-one with representatives from major communication corporations and also provides a variety of services including special résumé writing and career planning workshops, individual career counseling services, and other resources such as the Weekly Wire newsletter. Additionally, the Stein Family Office of Career Services works closely with the University’s Toppel Career Center to sponsor workshops, seminars, special events, and other activities related to career development and entrepreneurial endeavors.
