AD Group * affiliated with the American Advertising Federation. * introduces students to the world of advertising through guest speakers and field trips to advertising agencies, the media, and suppliers in South Florida. * members attend various functions held by the local professional club, the Advertising Federation of Greater Miami, and can volunteer their time at the January judging of the ADDY creative awards. * scholarships and internships are available through the club's affiliation with the AAF. * student members have the opportunity to compete in the AAF's National Student Advertising Competition that is sponsored each year by a leading corporation. Alpha Delta Sigma * Alpha Delta Sigma is the American Advertising Federation's national honorary society that recognizes outstanding academic achievements by college seniors majoring in advertising across the country. * To be nominated, a student must be a senior and a member of the UM AAF chapter and have a minimum GPA of 3.25 in all advertising studies and all other courses. |

NBS-AERho * UM chapter of the National Broadcasting Society. * NBS membership is open to any student at the University of Miami with an interest in broadcasting or Motion Picture. * Alpha Epsilon Rho is the broadcasting honor society within the National Broadcasting Society. Membership is gained by students who distinguish themselves through grade point average and extra-curricular work over several semesters of college. * NBS-AERho sponsors an annual awards banquet and ceremony to honor outstanding students in all aspects of broadcast activity. |
