Jeffrey Stern is an Emmy Award winning sound editor whose professional credits encompass work on over one hundred feature films, documentary and television productions such as THE ORIGINAL KINGS OF COMEDY, SCHOOL OF ROCK, SILENCE OF THE LAMBS, GOODFELLAS, THE UNTOUCHABLES, AMERICAN SPLENDOR, THE COVE, DO THE RIGHT THING, HOUSE OF GAMES, BE KIND REWIND and CHICAGO. He has been twice nominated for his work on BOARDWALK EMPIRE and won an Emmy for the 2012 season. In addition he was nominated for an Emmy (Best Sound - Documentary) for his work on the PBS American Master’s JONI MITCHEL: A WOMAN OF HEART AND MIND, twice nominated for an MPSE Golden Reel and won the Accolade Competition – Merit Award for his work on ALL FOR LIBERTY.
Mr. Stern holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Philadelphia College of Art and a Master of Fine Art from the University of Miami. He served as a filmmaker in residence at the North Carolina School of the Arts and as Adjunct Professor at New School University in New York. Currently he is a Professor of Practice at the University of Miami.
