Miguel Ángel Rodríguez, a University of Miami 2003 Masters in Broadcast Journalism graduate, was awarded an Emmy in the category of “Best News Reporter” on Saturday, Dec. 2. Rodriguez is currently an anchor/reporter for the Miami-based Telemundo 51 and for several NBC affiliates.
A foreign correspondent of 13 years, Brazilian Chris Delboni spoke with journalism students recently about careers in international reporting, telling them to be careful because journalism is an addiction and they should pick a country that makes them comfortable because the life of a correspondent can be lonely. Delboni spoke at a meeting of the Society of Professional Journalists.
