Alvarez, who wrote and directed the film, graduated in 2005 and majored in motion picture production and English literature. The film stars Brian Geraghty and is based on a novelist who embarks on a promotional tour with his brother and receives a phone call from a stranger. The Edinburgh International Film Festival is one of the world’s first international film festivals and emphasizes new talent, discovery and innovation.
