Each Saturday beginning June 6th and ending June 20th, the Cosford will screen a new performance from the best of Russian ballet. Armed with world-class chorographers and exceptional dancers, the Kirov Ballet Company maintains its place as one of the world’s greatest companies. Now, through cinema, it is possible for the world to see these amazing performances.

The series begins with DON QUIXOTE, which the SAN FRANCISCO CHRONICLE calls “sensationally spirited.” Known for its colorful characters and emotional choreography, DON QUIXOTE will take your breath away.  STRANVINSKY & THE BALLETS RUSSES, composed of three single act productions FIREBIRD, THE RITE OF SPRING, and THE WEDDING, offers an riveting sampling of Russian Ballet.  This astounding program concludes with one of the ballet’s most beloved tales: SWAN LAKE.  The BOSTON GLOBE calls the Kirov Company’s performance of this immortal classic “breathtakingly gorgeous.”
