
Coral Gables, FL (Feb. 18, 2008) - John Landis, award winning director, producer and writer of many acclaimed motion pictures including ANIMAL HOUSE (1978), THE BLUES BROTHERS (1980), AN AMERICAN WEREWOLF IN LONDON (1981), COMING TO AMERICA (1988) and INNOCENT BLOOD (1992), hosted a question and answer session the evening of Friday, Feb. 15 at the University of Miami’s Bill Cosford Cinema. The talk took place between the screenings of two of his classic films, AN AMERICAN WEREWOLF IN LONDON and ANIMAL HOUSE. Landis visited the University of Miami as part of the School of Communication’s annual Communication Week.
A former Twentieth Century Fox mail boy, spaghetti western stuntman, production assistant, writer, director and producer – John Landis has spent his life in Los Angeles and in addition to his movie credits, he has also produced such television series as “Dream On,” “Weird Science,” and “Honey I Shrunk the Kids.” He also directed commercials for companies including Direct TV, Taco Bell, Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Kellogg’s and Disney.
John Landis’ new feature length documentary MR. WARMTH: THE DON RICKLES PROJECT premiered on HBO in December of 2007 to critical acclaim.
