Seven undergraduate students from the School of Communication at the University of Miami have traveled to the People's Republic of China. They are writing feature articles and taking photographs about their experiences and the people they have met. We present their work in the class on this Web site. To prepare their articles, they have lived in Shanghai and traveled by air and train to Beijing, Xi'an, Hong Kong, Nanjing, and a few other places in the vast reaches of modern China.
The students have also contributed to a blog about their personal and group experiences during their six weeks during the summer of 2006 immersed in the culture of China. We hope you will take some time to read and ponder their observations and to get better acquainted with a fast-changing region of the world.
