    Qualifications:

    HS Diploma. One year experience in Talk Format or one year experience with an ALL Talk Show on a music format.  Experience as an on-air personality is preferred. Must be proficient with Adobe Audition and audio editing.  Strong production skills and a working knowledge of audio equipment is a plus for on-air and production execution.

    WCCB, the CW affiliate in Charlotte is looking for an experienced technical operator/utility with exceptional communication skills and the ability to handle and work efficiently under high-stress conditions. This position will require the employee to be “on-call” to cover all shifts in emergency situations – (work early morning shifts, as well as evening shifts, subject to the needs of WCCB/WOLO as determined by management)

     

    Primary Duties include, but are not limited to:

     

    • Server playback for WOLO morning show
    • Server playback for WCCB morning and evening shows as necessary
    • Studio support (including camera, studio managing, studio maintenance)
    • Remote broadcast support (camera, grip, audio assist)
    • Interested applicants will be required to handle strenuous physical activity
    • Utility/Engineering support as necessary (light construction, ability to work in unpredictable environments, delivering and/or driving as needed)
    • Willingness to travel to Bahakel stations for support as needed

    The Arts Festival is seeking an intern to coordinate its “off-season” social media content strategies in preparation of its 52nd Annual event next February. Responsibilities include:

    • Working alongside the Arts Festival’s marketing staff members to create community building strategies for existing platforms (Facebook, Twitter and Instagram)
    • Create engaging content for existing platforms (2x-3x per week)

Must have extensive knowledge of social media platforms and practices, including use of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest.
