ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

 

•Recruit, hire, train, and manage overall performance level of all aspects of the on-air product, including coaching & supervising the on air staff.

•Lead programming in its partnership with sales, marketing, digital and management within the organization.

•Maximize opportunities with current delivery platforms for the product to grow ratings and revenue.

•Expand our growing digital assets including streaming, podcasts, website and social media.

•Responsible for adherence and compliance to Company program standards and FCC regulations.

•Develop and implement measurable programming goals and strategies that align with station and company vision.

•Interpret and communicate PPM data to key personnel. Included are rating analysis and reporting.

•Prepare and manage assigned department budgets and financial resources on a daily basis.

•Supervise use of any syndicated and/or outside services.

Minimum of 5 years in radio programming management. Bachelor's degree preferred. Must be self-motivated and possess excellent communication skills. Knowledge of FCC rules, geographical demographics and familiarity with broadcast area required. A minimum of two years experience with Nielsen PPM data and software.

Entercom Miami is looking for talented individuals to join our staff as Board Operator/Producer.  Previous experience running a studio board, editing play-by-play highlights and interviews using a digital editing program such as Adobe Audition or Pro Tools is required.  Board Operators are responsible for running the control board, following station format, arranging and playing commercials and IDs according to the program and commercial logs, following applicable laws and FCC regulations.  In addition, you may help administer contests, answer listener phone calls, screen listener calls for live shows, operate satellite receivers, take transmitter readings, conduct EAS tests, etc.  This is a critical role in the on-air execution of the station.  Must be detail-orientated person available to work evenings, overnights, weekends, vacation fill-in and holidays.

 

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have previous radio experience running a sound board, booking guests, write and editing audio.

Previous experience as a radio board operator, preferably at a sports talk radio station/network.  Must have experience with digital operating system (Media Touch, Audio Vault, Enco or Profit).  Must be a team player, computer savvy and have the flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends, overnights and holidays.

Minimum Education Level:  HS diploma or equivalent.

The Northern Texas PGA (NTPGA) is seeking two (2) qualified applicants for a 14-week internship position in media and tournament operations during the fall of 2018. Successful applicants will be primarily responsible for assisting with the Section and Foundation’s marketing and media relation activities. FALL TOURNAMENT & OFFICE SCHEDULE:

The media interns will be responsible for attending tournaments conducted about once a week. On average, the media interns can expect to work in the office three days a week and both weekend days at tournaments. They will be given days off during the week to accommodate working weekend days. The media interns should expect to work, on average, 5 days a week with the exception of a few special events. The interns will work approximately 35-40 hours each week. Additional tasks and hours can be added for those with special requirements for obtaining school credit.

 

TOURNAMENT TRAVEL:

Tournaments will be spread throughout the entire Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex as well as the potential for a few in East and West Texas. There will be approximately two (2) events outside of the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex this fall that will require extended travel. Carpooling to tournaments is allowed and strongly encouraged. The Northern Texas PGA office is located in North Dallas. Interns will be responsible for their own transportation to and from the office and all tournaments and events.

 

COMPENSATION:

  • All interns will be compensated at $7.50 per hour (minimum wage is $7.25 per hour) (pre-tax)
  • All interns will be compensated at $11.25 per hour if / when they work more than more than 40 hours per week (pre-tax)
  • Fall interns will be guaranteed a bi-weekly minimum of $500 during the fall season
  • Five (5) PGA staff golf shirts
  • 3 PGA Hats
  • School credit (if applicable)

 

HOUSING:

The Northern Texas PGA does not provide housing of any kind, but will be more than happy to assist with the location of housing for those unfamiliar with the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. Past interns have utilized corporate housing agencies for fully furnished apartment leases, secured house leases through CraigsList or utilized extended stay hotels. Those with family or friends in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex are welcome to stay there and are in no way obligated to live with other interns.

Event Intern, Coral Gables Community Foundation, Coral Gables, FL

The Coral Gables Community Foundation is a non-profit organization that works to enhance the quality of life for those who live, work, learn and play in Coral Gables. We're looking for a Volunteer Intern for the Fall to help with our Annual Gala fundraiser and general marketing/communications tasks. Academic credit will be given.

The Coral Gables Community Foundation is seeking a volunteer intern to help plan, execute and handle pre-and post-event logistics for our annual gala, The Biltmore Ball to benefit the Coral Gables Community Foundation. We would like this individual to begin in late July and volunteer until early December, working 2-3 days a week, 12-15 hours a week. Times and days are flexible.

 

Duties and responsibilities  include:

  • Assist in organizing items and materials for silent auction
  • Handling and organizing gala materials
  • Assist in updating and maintaining social media presence for Foundation and event
  • Help in set up, breakdown and checkout of silent auction the day of the gala, October 5th
  • Assist in post-gala coverage
  • Help in contacting media before, handling media during the gala, and after gala
  • Contribute in communications and marketing tasks for Foundation
  • Help in general office administration duties

 

 

Intern must be available on Friday, October 5, 2018.
