The Dean's Common Ground Society at the University of Miami School of Communication
is dedicated to supporting the principles that are at the heart of the School of
Communication-the freedoms of belief, assembly, speech and the press. Symbolized
by the School's central Courtyard, the "Common Ground" is a lively arena demanding
the participation of a wide range of individuals from within and outside the School.
The Dean's Common Ground Society is a vehicle through which School of Communication
supporters can engage with the School and each other through the shared goal of
providing the best education possible for our students.
We cordially invite you to join us as we unite alumni, parents, foundations and
corporations in one effort to connect with the School of Communication and further
the ideals of the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.
The Dean's Common Ground Society offers several choices of annual memberships. All
students, alumni and friends of the School are considered Members for life.
Those who wish to support the students by becoming Donor Members will be recognized
in our bi-annual publication, Communiqué, and on our website. In addition,
participants will receive email notices from the School about visitors, workshops
and events, as well as benefit from discount ticket prices for films shown in the
Bill Cosford Cinema.
Those who become members at the Patron level or above will receive other privileges
and benefits as the School of Communication is able to offer them.
